The Hive London is an internationally renowned stadium facility in North London. Home to National League football club Barnet FC and women’s team London Bees, the Hive London regularly hosts a plethora of visiting teams from across the world. The likes of England, Italy, Germany, Brazil and many others have all trained at the Hive London. The site is home to two stadiums - The Hive Stadium and The Bees Stadium - and boasts one of the largest football centres in the world. Other facilities include a gym, medical scanning centre TIC Health, 13 event spaces and even a Starbucks. The Hive London truly is one of a kind.
OVERVIEW:
The Hive London is actively looking to add a Site Supervisor to join our experienced team and maintain our football grounds to our highest standard. You will work alongside a dedicated grounds team bringing expertise, a strong work ethic and a passion for high-quality grounds management.
As our Site Supervisor, you will assist the on-site team to ensure that all aspects of The Hive are controlled and maintained, ensuring safety is always a priority. You will be expected to accept deliveries and control access and transport within the entire site, making sure that everybody complies with the company’s procedures and Health and Safety requirements. You will also carry out a variety of supervisory duties to ensure the site remains safe, clean, and welcoming for staff, clients, and visitors.
The successful candidate will need a practical mindset, enjoy working outdoors and be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to work tasks. You should be prepared to challenge unsafe working practices and be confident in reporting these to management. The role involves working alone and as part of a team in all weathers, so you should be a resilient self-starter with good time management and the ability to efficiently manage your own workload. You should also be a good problem-solver, decision maker, communicator and one who displays exemplary attitudes and behaviors.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds and the surrounding areas.
* Report any damage or defects immediately to your line manager.
* Ensure the external grounds of the estate and building externals are maintained to a high standard at all times.
* Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients whom you come into contact with.
* Always ensure that the necessary Health & Safety signs are displayed and procedures are followed.
* Provide a visible uniformed deterrent, contributing to the safety and security of the client’s premises and staff.
* Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site.
* Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems.
* Carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible.
* Keep site knowledge up to date and identify developments at the local level.
* Understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
* Assist, if required by the Client, with staff and customer searches.
* Conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn.
* Ensure the site and associated equipment is secure out of hours.

* A clear communicator with strong interpersonal and time management skills.
* Someone who can demonstrate creative solutions and introduce changes to processes to eliminate issues from recurring in line with Company procedure.
* Able to use logic and reason to identify solutions in dealing efficiently with problems.
* Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple priorities to meet internal deadlines.
* Possessing leadership skills and a collaborative way of working, ensuring sharing of ideas and concepts.
* Someone with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
