Our client is a forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced IT professional to oversee the support, maintenance, and development of key business and infrastructure systems. This role will ensure smooth IT operations, efficient issue resolution, and the successful implementation of system enhancements.
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
- This is a Hybrid role - 3 days on site in Newry and 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage IT support activities, ensuring incidents, service requests, and system changes are resolved efficiently.
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalate complex issues when necessary.
* Monitor critical IT services, proactively preventing downtime.
* Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and support processes.
* Lead service improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
* Support the implementation of new IT solutions and updates to existing systems.
* Act as a subject matter expert in designated IT areas.
* Adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to optimise IT service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years in systems support or development.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Experience working with IT service providers and within regulated industries.
* Proficiency in relevant technologies (e.g., RPG, SQL, .Net, Qlik, MS Access).
* Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualisation, and backup solutions.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Server Platforms, Active Directory, MS Exchange, LAN/WAN Administration and MS-Access.
* Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMWare / Citrix ZenApp).
Desirable Qualifications:
* Certifications in ITIL, PRINCE2, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
* Experience with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
* Knowledge of networking, Active Directory, and cloud-based solutions.
