Main duties of the job

1. A fully qualified Nurse / Clinical Practitioner with a current professional registration.
2. Experienced in a wide range of clinical areas.

Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
5. Assessment and diagnosis: Taking patient histories, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, and diagnosing medical conditions.
6. Treatment: Prescribing medications, developing care plans, and providing interventions to manage illnesses or injuries.
7. Patient education: Offering advice on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
8. Referral and collaboration: Referring patients to secondary care when necessary and collaborating with other healthcare providers for comprehensive care.
9. Leadership and mentorship: Supporting junior staff and helping to lead clinical initiatives within the healthcare setting.

10. Registered nurse or equivalent
11. Relevant nursing / health degree
12. Minor illness qualification

13. Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent)
Experience

14. Significant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse / Clinical Practitioner, ideally in a primary care setting.
15. Demonstrable experience in managing a wide range of medical conditions and patient care.
16. Experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
Desirable
17. Knowledge of local healthcare services and patient pathways.
