Young Peoples Substance Misuse Practitioner - Fixed Term for 12 Months
Location: Trinity Carlton Mills School with the requirement to travel to other schools when needed.
Working hours: 22.2 hours per week over 3 days (Monday, Thursday and a third day at candidate's discretion).
About the role...
We are currently looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Young Persons Substance Misuse Practitioner to join the Branching Out Team in Calderdale, where we provide specialist drug and alcohol treatment and support for young people aged 10 – 21 years.
The role is to be based within Calderdale's newly appointed alternative provision specialist taskforce, which is a specialist team of people working with some of the most vulnerable young people in the borough. Based out of Trinity Academy Carlton Mill (Calderdale's only tier 2 alternative provision), this newly formed team will be managed by the Head of Service at Trinity Academy Carlton Mill with the aim of providing the right support, for the right person, at the right time.
About you...
* You must enjoy working with young people/have experience working with young people.
* You must be able to work flexibly.
* You must understand the challenges that young people face and be able to deliver interventions and activities that empower and enable them to build resilience to substance misuse.
* You must have a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle to be considered for this role.
