We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a full time Qualified Electrical Mechanical Engineer in Haddenham, HP17 8LB.
Your pay rate as a full time Electrical Mechanical Engineer:
Pay rate is up to £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
Typical working hours as a full time Electrical Mechanical Engineer:
You will be working rotational shifts Monday to Friday from 06:00am until 14:00pm and 14:00pm until 22:00pm.
Your role as a Electrical Mechanical Engineer:
* To ensure all Quality Management Systems are adhered to and properly documented.
* To ensure Engineering GMP targets are achieved with standards being understood and adhered to by all team members.
* To understand food safety legislation, including HACCP in line with the responsibilities of the role and to ensure that the team's outputs meet these standards.
* To ensure all documentation is clearly completed, filed and available for internal and external auditors.
* To work with Production and Quality teams to improve and develop operating practices which enhance product quality and customer service.
* Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
* To assist with the integration of new equipment with the manufacturing, operations and project teams.
* Multi Skilled- Mechanical, Electrical and Controls.
* Attends Daily Engineering meeting and inputs in terms of safety, quality, and operational KPIs where appropriate.
* Ensuring all work is recorded on CMMS ensuring correct parts booked out as appropriate.
* Execution of planned maintenance activities with the Engineering team leader.
* Ensure the correct spare parts are available and coordinate with stores personnel where required.
* Report (written) on shift issues, ensuring successful information transfer to the oncoming shift's Senior Engineer.
* Ensure appropriate Risk assessment, LOTO Procedures, Permit procedures are complied with.
* Ensure that PPM schedules and works orders are completed within agreed time frames, ensuring breakdowns are closed out (where necessary), with PPM pro-forma advising on parts required.
* On completion of maintenance work, ensure that equipment is serviceable and runs as expected, in readiness for production.
* Ensure the safe working of engineering function (particularly in areas of isolation and safe entry) and provide 'safety walk' information to Operations Team Manager using existing 'in house' documentation.
* To make the workplace a safe environment by ensuring:
o All company and legal requirements are met and maintained.
o Safety equipment is properly maintained, checked and recorded.
o Safe working practices are promoted at all times with all checks and job sign-offs completed.
Skills and experience required:
* Time served Engineer - minimum NVQ 3 Mechanical or Electrical.
* Experienced in food or consumer products industry supported by a good track record of acquiring Engineering skills and continuous development.
* A solid grounding in food handling safe practices and ability to carry out confined-space entry work.
* An awareness of HACCP, PUWER, LOLA and COSHH.

* PC literate (Experience of Word, Outlook and Excel Spreadsheets).
* Must be able to troubleshoot and fault-find within a production facility.
* Good written and verbal communication skills - ability to effectively communicate with both suppliers and internal customers.
* Must be able to accurately interpret schematic diagrams.
* Logical thinker and problem solver.
* Must possess the energy and drive to 'get things done'.
* Have an organised methodology.
* Can plan to a specified time scale.
