We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s dynamic team. This pivotal role involves managing the financial aspects of electrical contracts, preparing detailed cost reports, and maintaining close collaboration with clients and stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a range of projects across Essex and London.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial management for M&E contracts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to budgets.
* Prepare and analyse detailed monthly cost reports.
* Assess budgets and make necessary adjustments based on project developments.
* Prepare accurate valuations and submit them to clients.
* Generate monthly valuations for ongoing projects.
* Prepare variation quotations to address project changes.
* Attend client and site meetings to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
Requirements:
* BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
* Experience with JCT D&B and NEC forms of contract.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
* Developed problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage conflicting demands.
* Proactive and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
* Excellent team player with leadership and development capabilities.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office.
* Experience working on projects with Tier 1 Main Contractors.
* M&E / specialist subcontractor experience.
