Lean Portfolio Management & Transformation (LPM&T) is a critical domain within Digital & IT and was established with the following mission and vision:

The role of the Lean Portfolio Management & Transformation team within D&IT is to be the catalyst of change. We accelerate the transformation by creating knowledge, sharing experience and enabling the new ways of working.

Role purpose:
The Agile Coach will work within the Lean Agile Centre of Excellence within the Digital & IT Lean Portfolio Management & Transformation team and will train and coach delivery teams in agile ways of working; the role will also provide training and coaching to other functions supporting Digital & IT as needed, e.g. Finance and our senior leadership team.
In this role, you will help teams embrace Core Values of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), apply SAFe principles and implement SAFe practices. You will act as facilitator and continuously engage in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and speed of delivery.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
* Support the agile transformation and guide delivery teams through the agile journey and maturity growth by:
o Coaching local markets and other Vodafone entities to increase their maturity against the 7 Key competencies of Business Agility
o Contributing to a comprehensive SAFe training curriculum in collaboration with Vodafone Learning Organisation and other LACE functions
o Defining standards and creating playbooks for agile ceremonies and practices, e.g. PI-Planning, ART launches, Portfolio Syncs, etc.
* Provide training and coaching on agile ways of working and adoption of SAFe to all relevant stakeholders and teams:
o Train and coach delivery functions on agile principles, practices, roles, artefacts and ceremonies to maintain consistency of adoption and continuously improve performance
o Manage and facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices throughout the organisation and capture it in a useable, easily accessible format for all
* Facilitate the usage of agile adoption measurements to evaluate and report the performance and adherence of the organisation on a regular basis:
o Data-driven assessment of agile maturity
o Data-driven assessment of delivery performance
* Coach and guide delivery functions on an on-going basis
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Demonstrable experience of coaching and leading teams in adopting and implementing Agile methodologies
* Sufficient SAFe knowledge and experience (SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) Certificate)
* Practical experience in at least one IT domain (development, testing, DevOps, Agile team leadership)
* Ability to inspire, coach and motivate remote multi-national teams
* Ability to continue to monitor, learn and implement best practices via Agile communities of practice
* Knowledge of current & evolving Agile methodologies and tools and ability to provide trainings
* Ability to understand, support and articulate complex business change processes, data-sets and governance
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* A STEM/Commercial degree or equivalent
* Knowledge and experience of working in an agile role, e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile PM, Release Train Engineer, Agile Coach
* SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) Certificate
* Knowledge and experience of working in a LACE structure
* Experience in complex organizations with distributed responsibilities or with an international environment
