First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Parts Advisor on behalf of one of our clients.
The Parts Assistant will be an integral part of our team, responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Parts Department. This role involves sourcing, ordering, and managing parts inventory, and liaising with customers and field service engineers. Additionally, you’ll be involved in warranty procedures, stock management, and prioritising urgent enquiries to meet customer needs effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answer and process incoming parts calls from customers and service technicians.
2. Pull orders, receive, and put away stock.
3. Order parts and develop relationships within the internal parts centre and outside vendors.
4. Enhance customer retention by monitoring customer satisfaction with parts support and by responding to customer concerns/requests.
5. Maintain direct contact with current and prospective customers.
6. Prepare customer quotes.
7. Process paperwork.
8. Inventory control to include cycle counts of stockroom, vans, and customer consignments.
Skills and Qualifications:
9. GCSEs or equivalent
10. Good verbal communication, written communication, interpersonal, organizational, numerical perception, and computer skills
11. Valid driver’s licence
12. Parts or inventory control experience and lift truck industry experience preferred
13. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word), Parts and Service manuals, Internet) Ordering software.
14. Ability to follow instructions given in written, oral or diagram form.
