Please see full job description. Duties include Expert Clinical Practice Provide expert care to patients on their caseload. Providing skilled assessment, treatment, supervision and consultation within CAMHS The post holder will have Clinical Care Keyworker responsibility for an agreed case load of Eating Disorder patients, undertaking CPA, including crisis and risk management Develop risk management plans, regularly review risk plans, identifying opportunities for positive risk taking in conjunction with the client, community team and clients carers/ relatives/ significant others Provide expertise and specialist advice, supervision, guidance and consultation to other professionals delivering complex interventions and to contribute directly to young peoples assessment and treatment. In particular this role will be to ensure theres an effective operational day to day links between the Crisis Team, Eating Disorders Team and partner agencies. Make critical judgements of the highest order to satisfy the expectations and demands of the job Draw on advanced knowledge and exercise professional skills of the highest order, some of which are likely to be highly specialist, acquired only after lengthy training, supervision and practice. In particular to provide appropriate interventions for the patient group such as NICE concordant eating disorder treatments, DBT skills and group work as required. Make and receive referrals Complete advanced history taking, and physical examinations as required with patient group Regularly undertake clinical supervision Professional Leadership and Consultancy Support and inspire colleagues around field Set and improve standards and quality in expert field, with other disciplines, the wider organisation and across organisational boundaries Develop professional practice of self and others, in expert field Provide expert advice, support and guidance to others around expertise in response to requests from individuals, teams and for purposes of strategic planning Education, training and development Contribute to the education, training and development of other clinical staff and partner agencies Help to identify and respond to learning needs at individual, team and organisational levels, focusing on experienced colleagues, particularly those who need to develop advanced knowledge and skills in this field Take a key role in helping to integrate theory and practice Support staff in the Crisis team to develop their clinical skills in order for them to work effectively with CYP with Eating Disorders and to provide training for the team, wider service and other agencies. Service development Work at the forefront of practice innovation - drawing on professional knowledge and expertise to determine how to deal with ambiguous, unique, or novel problems. Generate, monitor and evaluate practice protocols Appreciation of national and international standards in the specialty Take an active part of national professional networks in this field Contribute to evaluation of local services against benchmarks characteristic of the best in this field
