Job Duties:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students
Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching English at the secondary level

Strong understanding of the English curriculum for secondary schools

Postgraduate qualification in Education
Experience working with SEN students
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Occasional participation in extracurricular activities and school events may be required. MATERNITY COVER.
A popular 11 to 18 school with 1250 students (180+ in the Sixth Form) and is expanding. As a school they are in the top 10% of schools nationally for KS4 progress and in the top 5% of schools nationally for KS5 progress. The school has a range of newly built modern facilities which now a include purpose built English and English block, new cafeteria and fitness suite.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
