This is a full-time on-site role to assist with the production, inspection and test of electrical sub-assemblies, final build and offsite installations for ABP’s Ministry of Defence and commercial customers.
Requirements
1. Overseeing the day-to-day activities within the team, decision making, coaching, mentoring, developing the skills of the team and managing conflict.
2. Managing timekeeping, sickness and holiday leave within the team.
3. Distributing and presenting information to team members and stakeholders.
4. Production and prototype wiring to include soldering, looming, potting, heat shrinking and booting to IPC-A-620 class 3.
5. Building and wiring of electrical panels and looms including all looming, identifying, crimping and terminating to IPC-A-620 class 3.
6. Peer electrical inspection of crimping and soldering.
7. Assisting the test department when required.
8. Crimp tool calibration in conjunction with QA.
9. To oversee the training of new electrical technicians on ABP products and mentoring work experience students.
10. Working from engineering documentation and establishing methods of manufacture with the Design Engineers.
11. Working on customer premises (UK and abroad) from time to time.
12. Accurate completion of documentation.
13. Time served experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
