We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join a well-established care home in Walkeringham. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of £13.56 per hour, with 3 night shifts per week from 7 pm to 7 am, including some weekends.
About the Role: As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to residents. You'll lead your team during night shifts, ensuring high standards are maintained and that residents are supported in all aspects of daily living with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide the highest standards of care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence.
2. Lead night shifts, ensuring all team members are supported, and high standards of care are maintained.
3. Administer and manage medication rounds accurately, maintaining up-to-date and error-free documentation.
4. Ensure all care plans and daily charts are completed and meet high standards.
5. Promote best practices and address any issues or concerns regarding care standards among the team.
6. Conduct regular one-to-one sessions with care team members and support the Home Manager with investigations as needed.
Essential Requirements:
1. Professional qualification, such as Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3.
2. Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
3. Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning and safeguarding procedures.
4. Must live within 30 minutes of the care home.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home.
2. Experience working with residents with dementia.
3. NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
4. Knowledge of the National Care Standards Act 2000.
5. Experience managing a care team and conducting one-to-ones.
