Job Responsibilities
1. Overall responsibility for the quantity surveying function and commercial performance of all allocated contracts, including maximising working capital at a contract level.
2. Financial management and performance of all allocated contracts (including measurement, valuation, payment, and reporting).
3. Ensure that revenue is promptly applied for and collected in line with the terms of the contract.
4. Provide support to the Commercial department in pre-contract and tender activities.
5. Negotiation and agreement of terms & conditions for contracts & sub-contracts awarded to Heidelberg Materials Contracting.
6. Establish financial management and control systems for contract execution.
7. Involvement in procurement and engagement of sub-contractors and suppliers.
8. Manage revenue, cost, cash collection, and the reporting function during the life of all allocated contracts.
9. Review and check payments made by the customer, including monitoring due dates for payment.
10. Prepare and agree subcontractor payment certificates for allocated contracts.
11. Produce financial and commercial reports and forecasts as required.
12. Report on unsafe practices observed when visiting sites.
13. Have knowledge of the statutory requirements governing the company’s work (including health & safety) as applicable to their scope of work.
