Highly Specialist Amputee Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

Are you a physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation and empowering patients to achieve their optimal level of mobility and independence? Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Hospitals trust has a vacancy for a highly specialist physiotherapist to lead the amputee rehabilitation service. We provide rehabilitation to the residents of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin with lower limb loss, running clinics at both The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury hospital at all stages of their outpatient pathway. The post can be offered as a Band 7 development opportunity for the right candidate and we warmly welcome enquiries from interested individuals.
Main duties of the job
You will work alongside, and be supported by, a B5 physiotherapy apprentice and prosthetists and consultants in rehabilitation medicine from the Maltings Mobility Centre, Wolverhampton, and the Haywood Mobility Centre in Stoke. You will deliver high quality rehabilitation to patients, and help develop the knowledge and skills of the other members of the team. Working closely with the therapy operational manager and team managers you will deliver our service level agreements and develop our strategy.

The outpatient therapy team is a large team of friendly, enthusiastic, forward-thinking and experienced physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy support workers who all share a passion for delivering high quality patient care to the patients of Shropshire. Our excellent staff survey results are evidence of our strong team ethos. The department is involved in research projects and has close links with HEI's providing clinical placements and working closely to identify opportunities for staff. We are committed to allocated CPD time, clinical outcomes and providing a responsive patient-focused service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualifications as required for entry into professional training
* Degree in Physiotherapy
* Registered with HCPC
* Evidence of specialist clinical training in relevant areas
Experience
* Evidence of extensive experience in relevant area of clinical practice
* Experience in audit and/or research
* NHS experience
Knowledge and skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience of teaching, supervision, mentoring and appraisal
* Team leadership ability
