Overview
We are a family business looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand tools and power tools. The Vehicle Technician will ensure that all vehicles are serviced to the highest standards, contributing to the overall safety and satisfaction of our customers.
An MOT License would be an asset but training would be made available to the right candidate.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake checks.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
* Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working in the workshop.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly about vehicle issues and repair options.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications in automotive technology or related fields are advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
