Framework is opening a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service in NG5 for women facing severe and multiple disadvantage in Nottingham City. The accommodation will consist of 15 self-contained flats, including 2 adapted flats with disabled access. There will also be a training room, residents laundry room and garden area for the residents to use. This is a brand new service and there will be an emphasis on trying new and innovative approaches in terms of engaging, supporting and helping residents to fulfil their full potential. We are looking to recruit 4 full-time Support Workers. The positions are 37 hours per week working 7am 3pm or 2pm 10pm including weekends and bank holidays when part of your rota. Whilst some experience of working in supported accommodation projects is advantageous, it is vital that applicants are able to demonstrate the correct values, and a good understanding of: The issues affecting women experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage Their support needs and how best to meet them in ways that work for the residents Trauma and psychologically informed approaches Working in a way that celebrates innovation and partnership working Service user consultation and involvement Due to the sensitive location of the project, experience of managing relationships with neighbours and local agencies would also be highly advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities To build the confidence of residents whilst providing a safe and secure environment. To work positively with risk. Have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with residents. To work alongside support planners to ensure tasks and objectives identified in support plans are achieved within agreed time scales. To prepare/assist residents in dealing with any problems arising from their accommodation including repairs, dispute debts, rent arrears etc. To carry out domestic tasks around the service to maintain the health and hygiene of the physical environment. To understand and actively promote the organisations values (Respond/Respect/Empower).
