More detail about the role The Microbiology Department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is based across two hospitals, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and North Devon District Hospital. It is part of the Pathology service providing a diagnostic Microbiology service to the Trust and community across Northern and Eastern Devon. Both sites offer an on-site restaurant and a choice of coffee/tea outlets. The laboratory has its own rest area within the department. You will be providing administrative support to the busy Microbiology team, including Managers, Consultants, Seniors, Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants. You will be responsible to assist in the monitoring of Consultant and Laboratory email inboxes, answering phone calls, using the electronic staff record on a daily basis and minute taking in meetings. To be the successful candidate, as well as being friendly and reliable, you will need a flexible attitude towards work with good organisational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail and good interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work under pressure and work well within a team. Full or part-time working will be considered.
