Empty Homes Assistant Surveyor Role Title: Empty Homes Assistant Surveyor Hours : 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday Salary : £28,138-£35,172 per annum plus £2272 car allowance per annum (salary offered dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent You’ll be assisting in the delivery of an effective surveying function across our property portfolio. This will predominantly relate to empty homes but may also include other aspects of property maintenance such as major works, responsive repairs, planned works, refurbishment, fire management, servicing, cyclical redecorations, estate improvements, environmental, energy, newbuild and regeneration. An awareness of legislation relating to health and safety, the housing health and the safety rating system (HHSRS), Regulatory Reform Order (RRO 2005), Planning, Building Control and housing repairs is essential. Your key tasks will include: Assisting in the provision of technical support to Moat and its customers, conduct property surveys, diagnose defects. Helping design and specify works, obtain estimates, oversee delivery, monitor project expenditure and complete sign-off. Acting as contract administrator or other role as appropriate and use standard forms of contract to administer the works. Overseeing quality control and supervision for each contract, ensuring adequate provision is made on site for building legislation and health & safety requirements. Undertaking inspections and audits of the contractors, servicing maintenance contract and defects within homes. Reviewing completed work against the schedule/contractors’ invoices and resolving issues as necessary. Providing management reports and schedules of defects when necessary and certify rectification of snagging items. Investigating and resolving any CRM tasks, enquires or complaints raised by customers relating to projects or services provided by Moat. Providing out of hours cover on a rota basis, as required Keeping accurate records and manage all data in accordance with our Data Governance Framework, relevant legislation, and best practice. You must also understand and fulfil your responsibilities as set out in this framework. You’ll have: Good standard of education. An awareness of legislation relating to health and safety, the housing health and the safety rating system (HHSRS), Regulatory Reform Order (RRO 2005), Planning, Building Control and housing repairs. Competent intermediate use of spread-sheets. An awareness of asset management data bases and their role. An awareness of processes relating to new developments. An ability to undertake work outside of normal office hours to meet the needs of the business and emergencies.
