The Role:
• To ensure delivery of timely and accurate estimates and complex project pricing mainly within the ‘spot’ buying corporate division.
• This to be done within the framework of pricing control and margin management as directed by the business from time to time.
• To assist with the initial implementation and then the ongoing management of a single Tharstern MiS database ensuring its accuracy and suitableness for managing pricing and hence margin and profitableness for the overall corporate portfolio
• To comply with the Company’s Information Security Management System at all times.
• To comply with all Health and Safety and Quality and Environmental Management System policies and procedures adopted by the Company at all times.
• To pro-actively participate in the development, operation and improvement of the Company’s Management Systems in relation to their external accreditations and legal obligations, for example, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and Health and Safety.
• To represent the Company at external functions in a proper and professional manner, whenever required, having an informed opinion from the Company’s perspective.
• To be well presented for work and conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner at all times.
• To fulfil the Company’s requirements with regard to the Company’s Management Information Systems at all times.
• To follow all administrative procedures adopted by the Company at all times.
Requirements:
• Conduct on-going review of estimating and commercial pricing using Tharstern MiS & Cost Rate Manager (or similar), ensuring all rates are up to date in conjunction with Group Procurement Director and Group Commercial Director.
• Assist with monitoring and assessment of applicable print services ‘market rates’ and adjustment of pricing recommendations accordingly, working closely with Head of Procurement.
• Overviewing estimates made by the team and estimating jobs and projects withing the parameters set by the business, adhering to client profile criteria that dictate SLAs and pricing standards.
• Prioritise workloads in accordance with quote deadlines.
• Liaise with Account Director/Managers/Sales Team as required to maintain margin targets etc.
• Liaise with Production Department if unsure of method of production to output correct quotations
• Liaise with outwork suppliers to gain correct outwork price.
• Part of the overall customer services team, working in close harmony with field sales and production, providing a high standard of customer service at all times.
