Finance Manager job with a non-profit organisation based in Oban.Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing statutory accounts and managing the audit process ensuring the provision of accurate and timely information
2. Managing the budgeting process, providing additional analysis on trends and variances etc
3. Providing analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts
4. Analysing staff utilisation, project costings versus budget and other business analysis of performance
5. Offering support and coaching to project managers through the project life cycle, taking responsibility for arranging a project start-up meeting and providing advice to ensure all costs and projected income match project activities
6. Providing cash flow forecast models
7. Reviewing, developing and maintaining appropriate financial controls over the finance processes and balance sheet
8. Deputising for Head of Department in Finance Committee meetings as and when required
The Individual:
1. Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant
2. Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
3. Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate well at all levels and to communicate financial information to non-financial managers
4. Experience in charity accounting is desirable, but not essential
