Position: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Rate: £13.39 per hour
Type: Temporary role (maternity cover)
Location: Mold
Hours: Full time or part time available
The Role
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will work in a small, friendly team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the company's purchase ledger
* Match purchase invoices to relevant stock purchase orders
* Process purchase invoices and credit notes with correct nominal codes
* Handle purchase invoice queries via phone/email
* Check supplier statements and cross-reference with internal systems
* Reconcile cashbooks to bank statements and investigate discrepancies
* Add new suppliers to the system
* Calculate VAT payments and ensure correct VAT allocation
* Prepare weekly and monthly pay runs in GBP, EUR, and USD
* Manage the accounts email inbox
* Perform general office duties to support the team
The Candidate
The successful applicant will have:
* Experience in a purchase ledger role
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Strong attention to detail
* Good IT skills, including proficiency with Sage 200
