Main duties of the job The Neonatal Unit at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust consists of 16 cots which include 2 intensive care, 3 high dependency and 11 special care cots. We are based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and are looking for an experienced neonatal nurse to join our dynamic team. We have a strong commitment to professional development and service improvement, have commissioned links with several local Universities and can offer an accelerated career pathway for suitable candidates. As the Practice Development Nurse you will provide ongoing development and support to all staff to ensure that they continue to build their skills and knowledge. The post holder will be expected to work Monday - Friday The aim of this post is to utilise and further develop specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised patient care. Actively participate in and contribute to the training and management of the Neonatal team communicating effectively with the neonate's family/carers, the multidisciplinary team, other departments within the Trust and pertinent agencies outside the organisation including complex social cases.
