Your role
As Bid Management Director, you will:
* Lead and expand the global Defence bid team, ensuring scalability to meet future business demands.
* Take full ownership of the bid process—setting direction, managing stakeholders, and driving success.
* Oversee collaboration across sales, delivery, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless bid execution.
* Implement best practices, manage risks, and ensure full governance compliance.
* Work closely with senior leadership to align bid strategies with business objectives.
* Travel internationally (30-50 working days per year) to engage with key stakeholders and teams.
What you bring
We are looking for a seasoned leader with a strategic and international mindset, capable of handling complex, high-value bids in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have:
* Extensive bid management experience leading large, complex bids within Defence, software, or similarly high-complexity industries.
* Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing bid teams.
* Exceptional writing abilities, crafting compelling executive summaries, financial details, and technical proposals.
* Stakeholder management expertise, inspiring direct reports and cross-functional teams to deliver excellence.
* Project management proficiency, ensuring seamless coordination, risk management, and execution of bids.
* Experience with software solutions at a semi-technical level (preferred but not required).
Security requirements
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must:
* Present a clean criminal record.
* Have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years.
