Ysgol Saron is a Welsh medium primary school situated in the village of Saron near Ammanford. The school welcomes pupils from a wide catchment area within the Amman Valley area. There are currently 226 pupils on roll.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our experienced and highly skilled team as Deputy Headteacher. The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic and exceptionally motivated person. You will join a supportive and dedicated leadership team.
The successful applicant will be:
* An excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to raising the standards and attainment of pupils and can manage, promote and secure strong teaching and learning across the whole school
* Able to demonstrate a clear vision, leadership and strategic direction in partnership with the Head Teacher, pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
* A strong self-evaluator who is able to identify and monitor priorities for improvement
* Capable of taking shared responsibility for the review and further development of the Curriculum for Wales alongside the Headteacher and staff
* Happy to take an active part in the wider life of the school
* Deputise in the absence of the Headteacher
