Job Title: Turf Equipment Mechanic

Pay Range: $25 - $30 hourly
Based on experience & Overtime during peak season is required.
Position Summary:
The Roaring Fork Club is seeking an assistant mechanic to join our team and mentor under our current fleet manager. The ideal candidate will have a desire to problem solve and be mechanically inclined.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Mechanic should be able to effectively communicate with the fleet manager and supervisors from other departments daily. Mechanic should consult with fleet manager or other supervisors before performing a task if there is uncertainty.
2. Operate and understand equipment functions, capabilities, and limitations.
3. Inspect, service, and repair all equipment as needed, including oil and fluid changes, brakes, tires, belts, hydraulic and cooling systems, welding and fabrication, sharpening of reels, bed knives, and rotary blades, and setting quality of cut and height of cut on all cutting units.
4. Maintain clear records of service and repairs to all equipment using fleet management software.
5. Mechanic will be responsible for training personnel on equipment and should be able to demonstrate proper safety, operation, fueling, cleaning, and storage of equipment.
6. Maintain an organized work area free from clutter and keep tools clean and serviceable.

7. Communicate on a consistent basis with all managers, keeping them abreast of all department activities.
8. Participate in daily Team Member Huddles and pre-shift meetings and view the Human Resources communication boards for pertinent information.
Environmental Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium conditions. The position is indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in morning, afternoon, and evening temperatures year-round.
Physical Demands:
1. Seeing – Must be able to see well enough to recognize members and others, including close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
2. Hearing – Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with others in a noisy environment.
3. Standing/Walking/Mobility - Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift.
4. Climbing/Kneeling - Must be able to climb and kneel for short periods of time.
5. Lifting – Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
6. Must possess a valid Driver’s License, have a clean record, and be able to drive motor vehicles and golf carts.
