Brief
A Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Edinburgh. They are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in their work.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must hold their C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent.

Responsibilities
Some of the main duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will include:
1. Undertake fault finding on complex medical gas systems, MTHW/LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment, and pressurised steam systems.
2. Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics.
3. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and testing in accordance with published procedures, completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and marking up any drawing alterations.
4. Work involves the use of analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, and medical gas equipment (patient use) suction units, geared drives.
Experience Required
To be the successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
1. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Mechanical Discipline is essential.
2. A good standard of Secondary Education, including Maths and English, along with a flexible approach to working within a team.
3. Experience in HVAC systems or comparable training and a working knowledge of these systems would be advantageous.
4. Previous experience within a Healthcare Environment would be greatly advantageous.
5. Holds or has held a relevant Appointed Persons Status, or be prepared to undertake relevant AP training.
