Key Responsibilities
As a Deckhand, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the vessel. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with Planned Maintenance and maintaining the vessel’s cleanliness, safety standards, and equipment checks.
2. Operating under the Master’s guidance to ensure safety and efficiency.
3. Taking ownership of the vessel, including proactive involvement in safety and operational standards.
4. Performing both deck and engine-related tasks as required, showcasing adaptability and teamwork.
5. Undertaking mandatory training for personal and professional development.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for maritime operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Able Seaman or Navigational Watch Rating Certificate, including EDH.
2. Harbour or terminal towage experience is preferred but not essential.
3. Valid ENG1 medical certificate and STCW Basic Safety Training, with at least 12 months validity.
4. Full UK Driving Licence and the legal right to work in the UK.
