This role requires you to develop, and maintain, relationships with several stakeholders, such as the prison, health and justice commissioners, healthcare managers and the prisoners themselves. The post holder will need to be motivated to, and passionate about working with those in custody, have knowledge of custodial settings and the client groups in these settings, as well as the challenges that they face. Main Duties and responsibilities: Working closely with prisoners, and prison staff, to organise and facilitate quarterly patient engagement activities in the form of face-to-face focus groups, 1:1 and telephone interviews, written communication methods across the prison estate. Support with additional projects as requested with specific healthcare topics including procurements of prison healthcare. Provide feedback from prison visits in the form of balanced reports; qualitative and quantitative. Support the business development team with new opportunities. Work closely with NHS Commissioners to ensure successful delivery of the contract. Where directed attend networking events to broaden knowledge, business opportunities and promote the ethos and vision of ABL Health. Attending prison training as requested to ensure knowledge and understanding of processes and security. Attend training as required to maintain a good understanding of criminal justice and health. Skills & Competencies required: A passion for reducing health inequalities; particularly within secure settings. A hard-working approach and good problem-solving skills. Confidence, and experience, in working in challenging environments. A real motivation to influence change and support those with Lived Experience. Someone who can live and breathe the ABL values!
