It is due to this exceptional growth that our client is currently looking for talented and ambitious Sustainability Engineer to join the Team during a truly exciting phase in the growth of the organisation. The successful candidate will work within a team of Sustainability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and CAD Technicians on a broad range of tasks.
You will have excellent technical knowledge to deliver Energy and Sustainability requirements for projects of all sectors, in London and throughout the UK.
It is essential that you have a Degree in Building Services Engineering/ Renewable Energy and or a Relevant Engineering Degree along with experience, ideally within a Consultancy environment and you are a chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
Knowledge and experience are essential in a range of Energy and Sustainability services such as:
Energy Strategies; Sustainability Statements; Detailed Thermal Modelling; Part L modelling; Peak Load Analysis; TM54 modelling; TM59 modelling; assessment methods such as BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon analysis etc.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Degree qualified with experience in simulation, airflow, daylight / sunlight etc. .
• Experience of taking an active role in project delivery from concept stage to completion
• Ability to present and communicate ideas with clients, architects and project managers
• Thorough knowledge of environmental / electrical engineering design and techniques
• Aptitude for managing and mentoring Junior Engineers within a vibrant team environment
• Proficient in the use of software tools
• Be capable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from management team
The Key Activities:
• Act as Project Engineer including environmental design for a range of projects; particularly in the commercial, civic and cultural, educational and healthcare sectors
• Develop project scope with design team / clients including budgeting and reporting
• Implement and oversee successful design solutions for Projects
• Oversee Resource Management and Planning to ensure successful Project delivery
• Provide mentoring of Junior Engineering staff
• Assist the Management Team with Business Development and Financial Control activities
