JOB INTRODUCTION
The Science Unit produces a huge range of bold and trail-blazing content. We combine the greatest factual storytellers, unrivalled production values and specialist factual knowledge, to tell stories that reach the four corners of the planet. We supply content to a range of broadcasters and platforms including the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, PBS, Netflix and YouTube, as well as branded content and podcasts.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Co-ordinator to work on an ambitious new VFX series. We are looking for an experienced full-time PC who is invested in the content and enjoys contributing to the common goals of a supportive production team. Must have experience in VFX and CGI, and be able to juggle/ prioritise different demands from different people; have stamina over a long production, resilience and understanding the knock-on of changes to plans and adapting accordingly.
The role will be a combination of working from home and working at our London TVC offices, minimum 3 days a week will be required in the office.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
You will report to the Line Producer and in partnership with the editorial team providing logistical and co-ordinator support to their production teams, ensuring delivery on schedule within budget and within operational and financial constraints. You will also contribute to and help to implement, practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
* You must have a genuine interest in BBC Studios output and Science content
* You’ll have experience working as a Production Co-ordinator across Factual content
* Must have experience working on VFX or CGI productions
* Experience of working on productions involving international delivery/co-productions
* Strong organisational and planning skills paired with accuracy and an aptitude for systems
* Prior experience using Albert and delivering sustainable productions
