ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to ensure as many students as possible towards retention and progress from level to level, a key element of student success at GBS. Your key task will be to work under the direction of the Head of Student Retention, and the Retention Managers in collaboration with the Student Success Tutors and relevant academic staff to help re-engage students in their studies.
This role is not for eligible sponsorship!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work on your allocated learners as an RO
* Monitor the 8 RO assigned onboarding and training and ensure that the activities towards Retention, achievement, and progression are closely monitored as per the KPI.
* Be their first point of contact for the day-to-day activities.
* Work closely with the Retention Managers and ensure that the tasks assigned by them are closely monitored within your team.
* Improve campus attendance.
* Monitor SST performance towards attendance, engagement, and WD.
* Coordinate and ensure that the SST are making the required calls as per the audit of the call log of five 9 and ensuring that the engagement is above 95%.
* Coordinate absence of annual leave for the assigned SST team members.
* Ensure that the SST maintaining the transcripts are up-to-date within the allocated cohorts.
Senior RO Update for the week for the assigned RO in weekly reports:
* Daily attendance checks as per the timetable and identification of action taken to improve attendance for groups less than 65% attendance.
* Identification of risk groups and risk learners below 50%.
* LA for the above learners who have missed for 3 weeks.
* PBI report weekly.
* 4-6 weeks assurance that all are sent to the RM by the end of the 4th week and help towards completing the process by the 5th week and no pending activities for the 6th week.
* Ensure that the WD are counter-checked by the SRO before being sent to RM.
* Make sure that the information on Thesis is correct for weeks one to 4 weeks, with special reference to the comments and the dates.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent with knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice, you will have previous experience of working with students in higher education, specifically with mature students.
* You will have strong communication skills and an ability to adapt messages for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
* You'll be able to plan and prioritise effectively to achieve objectives, work collaboratively in a team and build and maintain positive relationships with students.
* High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Attention to detail is a must as well as strong organizational skills.
