Associate Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
Location: Birmingham
We currently have an exclusive opportunity to join a global leading building services consultancy based in Birmingham where you will be a key part of the mechanical services team. As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be directly involved in a range of multi-million-pound projects working across all Building Services Sectors.
The role…
* You will be in a client-facing role, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief within the project team.
* You will supervise the development of initial strategic concepts for projects.
* Engaging with clients from multiple different projects at various stages of progress.
* Working as part of the Firm-wide Science & Research Group, to gain experience and understanding from others, and to support and disseminate knowledge to others in the Firm.
* You will be financially astute and work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
* Looking at new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research ensuring we keep abreast of our competitors.
* Creating and maintaining a high reputation within the industry and ensuring adherence to QM and risk control procedures is also a very important part of the role.
What we’re looking for…
* You should be a Chartered Engineer.
* 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
* Demonstrate suitable design experience in the building services sectors.
* Effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports and specifications.
* Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery.
* Excellent client communication skills.
* Experience of people management is required.
