Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager based in Speke, Liverpool to join our Commercial and Compliance leadership team working on the landmark National Accommodation Management Services (NAMS) contract for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation which provides service family accommodation housing management to 49,000 homes and the service families who live in them. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Operations the HSEQ Manager will collaborate with the rest of the organisation, including Directors, Central Services, and our delivery partners to help ensure that our services are delivered to the appropriate high quality and standards, complying with relevant accreditations, legal and contractual obligations, as well as in line with our ethos of putting the customer at the centre of our approach. Specifically, the HSEQ manager will be responsible for the Contract’s Health, Safety and Environment management systems, collaborating across the organisation to ensure full legal compliance. They will provide advice and support to all Pinnacle colleagues working on the contract by ensuring health, safety and environmental practices are identified and implemented in line with our company values and in accordance with Group’s Health and Safety and NAMS policies, acting on identified risks as and when required, helping to ensure a safe working environment for our people and those affected by our actions including visitors, residents and contractors, across housing stock, estates and offices. Key responsibilities Develop an HSE Strategy with associated objectives, which will be reviewed and monitored by the Senior Management Team (SMT). Support the SMT in operational activities as required. Work with the Group Health and safety Manager to carry out audits within this contract. Liaison with the client, HSE, and other regulatory bodies, either as part of a regular meeting programme or when there has been an incident or non-conformance resulting in serious injury or loss. Develop and maintain a training matrix for all levels of the organisation to deliver a programme of health, safety and relevant environmental management training. Carry out risk assessment / COSHH assessments and plan ongoing reviews of all assessments. Report all safety and environmental incidents, including near misses, to the client, our delivery partners and the Group Health and Safety Manager (as appropriate), and where necessary, Maintain the HSEQ parts of the management system, ensuring all documents are reviewed regularly and only relevant documents are available to staff. Manage “telematic” systems on company vehicles and identify trends and persistent law breakers, reporting to management regularly and preparing a driver improvement plan where necessary. Support Group H&S team in CHAS and ISO45001 in preparing for assessment, ensuring compliance targets and external accreditations are met and maintained. Responsibility for updating/creating risk and COSHH assessments with line managers. Key Requirements: Demonstrable work experience in successfully operating in an equivalent role. NEBOSH Diploma Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health Environment qualification and IEMA professional qualifications Proficient from an IT system use perspective. Experience of presenting information to an audience, delivering clear, engaging, and tailored presentations to effectively communicate key messages to diverse audiences. The ability to create structured and accurate reports that clearly convey information, recommendations, and insights for specific audiences and objectives. Ability to able to influence, inform and engage multiple stakeholders, manage challenging conversations and resolve issues effectively.
