Junior Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist
At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that an opportunity has become available to work within our Medical and Academy departments as a Junior Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist.
About the Role
The primary aim of the role is to co-ordinate and provide the physiotherapy provision for the Junior Academy (U15 and U16) and ACE College squads. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing physiotherapy/sports therapy cover to the above-mentioned squads; including assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and onward referral as required.
2. Providing pitch-side emergency care for training sessions/games as instructed by line manager.
3. Providing appropriate education to above-mentioned squads.
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date notes on the electronic medical system, in line with the RFU Minimum standards.
5. Ensuring players in above-mentioned squads have had appropriate medical screening prior to joining.
6. Assisting with the medical provision of other squads as required, which may include U-18, Development, and First Team squads.
7. Adapting and improving the medical provision to best suit the needs of the above-mentioned squads within the limits of the role.
8. Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holder's capabilities.
