Our Cities & Places team are currently seeking experienced Design Managers to join us in delivering a range of projects, primarily in the buildings and aviation space. The successful candidates will have a strong technical background, excellent facilitation skills and solid business acumen. At Jacobs, Design Managers are critical to the successful delivery of a coordinated, fit-for-purpose design. Our Design Managers: Are responsible for multi-disciplinary design delivery to achieve project quality, cost and programme needs Ensure a coordinated, collaborative and efficient delivery through facilitation and direction of the multi-disciplinary design team Engage collaboratively with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Often also engage in contractor-facing roles to provide technical or other delivery assurance on behalf of our clients Bring a combination of technical, project management and coordination skills to the project We'll need you to be an excellent communicator with well-rounded people skills as you will manage diverse teams with different and often competing goals, enabling them to work together to produce coordinated and high-quality designs. You'll also have excellent client management skills with the ability to present your ideas clearly and effectively, evaluate the ideas of others, and communicate progress, potential issues and proposed mitigation.
