EXPERIENCE
The purpose of this role will be to:
1. Actively support the Assurance Team with ensuring delivery and compliance across all our project objectives, targets and KPI's.
2. Plan and complete Assurance Audits in line with the Assurance Plan.
3. Support/lead significant Event Investigations with the principal contractor.
4. Drive, deliver and encourage innovation to achieve the project's objectives, targets and KPI's.
5. Liaise with the BYLOR operational site teams to raise awareness, share and embed the learnings from previous Event Investigations, parent companies and trend analysis.
Specific Duties
You will be expected to:
* Lead/support ongoing development of the SMS.
* Support implementation of the requirements of the Safety Management System (SMS).
* Ensure clear understanding and compliance with all obligations imposed under the contract.
* Provide assurance support and advice to all BYLOR team members and subcontractors.
* Effectively report and communicate to all senior team members with relevant and clear information.
* Carry out safety audits and inspections of dedicated work areas, record all observations and actions and distribute actions accordingly. Collate evidence of close outs for record.
* Attend the relevant meetings e.g., Progress, HSE SHELT meetings.
* Ensure that a strong relationship is established and maintained with the NNB Construction and Safety teams.
* Support internal and external audits by parent companies, client, principal contractor and external bodies.
* Overseeing the collation of client driven monthly HSE KPIs.
* Ensure that a strong relationship is established and maintained with the Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and client regulatory interface teams.
* Ensuring that case management and claim processes are completed in a timely manner.
* Attend monthly claims meeting with parent and external companies.
Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications Required:
* ISO 45001 requirements (auditor experience preferred).
* Auditor trained and experience with Safety Management Systems.
* Practical Experience in Safety Management in Construction (>5 years).
* NEBOSH Cert in Occupational Health and Safety (Desirable).
