Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Conservation Officer to join our Historic Environment Service to progress key projects for the Trust. This role will focus on the review and delivery of a programme of public realm and small-scale conservation repair works, the enhancement of the Local Heritage List for Somerset and Exmoor, and the development of management plans for the Trust’s landscape heritage sites.
Qualifications
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in building conservation or a professional in a related field who has a passion for architectural heritage and wishes to develop a career in the management of the historic environment.

We run two archive and local studies services and three museums, including the Museum of Somerset, manage 450 acres of historic landscapes and provide advice on the care of Somerset’s historic environment.
