Field Service Engineer
Salary: £40k - £50k

nGenium's client, an exciting manufacturer of leading chemistry equipment, is in an exciting period of growth. Through expansion, they are looking for a skilled field service engineer with extensive experience performing installations, service, maintenance, and repair of biotechnology and scientific instruments in the Cambridgeshire area. You will receive in-depth training on their instruments and benefit from clear progression routes. This role is split between onsite and field-based, allowing the opportunity to work within a team and independently.
In this Field Service Engineer position, you will be responsible for:
1. The installation and commissioning of high-tech chemistry equipment.
2. Performing maintenance, service, and repair to OEM training guidelines.
3. Building relationships with clients, delivering excellent customer service and advising them on their equipment.
4. Providing technical support via phone calls and email.
5. Site-based with travel across the UK and occasionally internationally.
A suitable field service engineer for this opportunity would need:
1. Solid technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
2. 2+ years Field Service experience working on laboratory, scientific, or medical equipment.
3. Full clean driving license and unrestricted right to work.
4. Educational background in a scientific or engineering field.
