As Restaurant
& Bars Supervisor at The Holiday Inn Blackpool, you will oversee the
daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring a smooth and
efficient service that delights our guests. As a supervisor, you will lead by
example, providing exceptional customer service whilst maintaining high
operational standards. A hands-on role, working closely with the team, your supervision
will directly contribute to the success of our dining experience and overall
profitability across all food & beverage outlets, (which will include
breakfast at Holiday Inn, room service delivery, conference events, Platform 9
& Marco’s New York Italian)
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE RESTAURANT & BARS SUPERVISOR AT THE HOLIDAY INN BLACKPOOL
* Lead and motivate the food & beverage team
in delivering excellent, personalised guest service
* Support the Restaurant & Bars Manager in
conducting regular team performance reviews
* Create a welcoming environment in all food
& beverage outlets, fostering a culture of great service
* Support the food & beverage team in taking
food and drink orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery
* Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and
professionally, resolving concerns to ensure guest satisfaction
* Monitor feedback from guests and implement
improvements to service and operations as needed
* Supervising daily cash transactions, ensuring
that all payments (cash, credit card, etc.) are processed correctly
* Maintaining and balancing the departmental cash
float throughout the shift
* Ensure correct billing and receipts are
provided to guests, and addressing any discrepancies or complaints
* Contribute to the success of the Marco Pierre
White brand by ensuring brand standards are adhered to by the food &
beverage team
* Conduct duty management responsibilities and
act as hotel ambassador, with a full understanding of hotel and brand standards
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Previous experience in a
supervisory or senior service role in similar environment
* The ability to motivate, train
and manage a diverse team
* Strong communication,
organisational, and time management skills
* Excellent customer service
skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
* Ability to handle guest
feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolutions to any
issues
* A thorough understanding of
health & safety regulations and food safety standards
* Flexibility with working hours which will include
evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed by the business
