1. To maintain responsibility for Children and Maternity Safeguarding administration processes.2. Provide administrative support to the Childrens Safeguarding and Maternity Team. This includesthe production of a variety of documents, such as safeguarding reports, action plans and seriouscase reviews, as requested by the Safeguarding Team3. Provide administrative support for the Child Death Review Panel4. Co-ordinate the various reports required for strategy meetings to ensure that full reports aresuppliedPage 2 of 45. In liaison with members of the safeguarding team proactively maintain and update diaries, usinginitiative and judgment to make, reschedule or cancel appointments according to incoming andexisting work priorities and availability6. To support the team to maintain and upload secure and confidential electronic safeguarding patientrelated information on the Patient Data Systems e.g.,Careflow as requested by the safeguardingteam7. Monitor and update the Children and Maternity safeguarding webpages to ensure that informationremains up to date.8. To consult with internal and external professionals as requested by the safeguarding Children &maternity team and to ensure appropriate follow up action is taken9. Maintain an awareness and sensitivity to the work needs and priorities of the ChildrensSafeguarding Team ensuring time, privacy and appropriate resources are made available to them toensure work is completed within deadline10. In liaison with the Named Nurse/Midwife co-ordinate and compile meeting documentation inpreparation for meeting attendance11. Co-ordinate and compile meeting documentation, including minute taking, for the Maternity, Adultand Childrens Operational meetings and forums12. There will be a requirement to occasionally take minutes of other associated meetings13. To respond to urgent requests from stakeholders and communicate the message in an accurateand timely manner14. To assist with service surveys and audits as required15. To maintain local safeguarding databases16. To manage own workload effectively without supervision and to undertake tasks as delegated17. To manage maintain up-to-date knowledge required to conduct the role and to undertake statutoryand mandatory and other training as requested18. There may be frequent exposure to highly distressing or emotional circumstances, e.g. .childrenwho are abused or child death (take minutes, type letters of a distressing nature).
