We are looking for a dedicated Alternate Provision Teacher/Assistant to join a secondary school in Pudsey on a full-time basis. You will be working with students from Year 7 to Year 11, providing tailored support for those in need of alternate provision. This position is initially for 3.5 - 4 weeks, with the potential for extension.
Requirements:
1. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
2. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is required.
3. Experience working with Year 7 - Year 11 students.
4. Strong classroom management and behavioural management skills.
5. A passion for helping students who require alternative learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Deliver engaging and supportive lessons to students in alternate provision.
7. Provide behaviour and classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment.
8. Work closely with other staff to ensure the academic and personal development of each student.
9. Support individual learning needs, helping students overcome challenges and stay on track.
10. Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, focusing on both academic and social-emotional growth.
