Job Title: Support Worker Job Type: Temporary role Job Description: We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to provide housing and support packages to our service users in asylum, young people leaving care, adults in social care and homeless families and individuals. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other staff to create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes emotional, social, and educational development. Key Responsibilities: Offering emotional support to individuals navigating the asylum process, helping them understand their rights, and assisting with paperwork and legal processes Providing reassurance during what can be a stressful and uncertain time. Helping young adults transition to independent living, offering guidance on life skills like budgeting, cooking, and employment readiness. Ensuring they have the support and resources to thrive in adulthood Assisting service users with daily living tasks as required Providing guidance and support to develop skills Helping service users set and achieve personal goals, and providing support for educational and career aspirations Encourage to make decisions about their lives and care, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-worth Responding to emergencies or challenging behaviours, including mental health crises, trauma-related stress, or conflict resolution. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all service users by adhering to safeguarding policies and reporting concerns when necessary. Acting as an advocate for service users, ensuring their rights are respected, and assisting them in resolving issues with authorities, service providers, or family members. Maintaining accurate records of service users progress, needs, and care plans. Ensuring any changes in the care or support requirements are documented and communicated to other staff Reporting any incidents or concerns to management and relevant authorities. Keeping detailed and confidential notes on service users' well-being, issues faced, and support provided What Were Looking For: A genuine passion for working with children, adults & young people.
