NLC10 £39, - £45, (Pro Rata)
You will become part of a team that specialises in the provision of a top-class support and advice service to managers and employees on all aspects of employment with the Council. Contributing to the effective and efficient operation of our service, you will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction whilst ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, legislation and best practice. On a daily basis, you will manage your own portfolio of casework including absence, discipline, grievance, performance management, and dignity at work. You will also be required, on occasion, to participate in the review of our policies, procedures and conditions of service.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be eligible for membership of the CIPD and will have at least 3 years’ experience of working as an HR professional, providing advice and working in partnership with managers, employees and trade unions. With detailed knowledge of employment law and its practical application across a range of areas, you will be an excellent communicator and be able to advise on the application of policies, procedures, systems and processes. You will also bring good project management skills, well developed research skills, be numerate and IT literate and have excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills. On a personal basis, you will be team orientated, innovate and creative, able to build good working relationships and cope with a demanding workload whilst maintaining high standards of work.
You will be required to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire Council.
