Our story began in 2018 when our three founding Kirklees schools (Ethos College, Reach Academy and Engage Academy) came together to form Ethos Academy Trust. Since then, the Trust has doubled the number of Academies, whilst quadrupling pupil numbers. We are a mixed community of Alternative Provisions and a Special School, operating across three Local Authorities within West and South Yorkshire. Our work extends beyond our Academies to add value to the wider system through the offer of support to other schools and associated services. Trust staff work in partnership with schools, parents/carers and other professionals to support and promote the educational and social inclusion of pupils. We are seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of COO and provide inspirational leadership across the Trust community. Working closely with the Trust Board, Executive Team, Academy Leaders, key members of the Central Team and wider Trust community, you will: Establish a prominent level of visibility, credibility and professionalism across our community, leading by example and nurturing the Trust’s Ethos and Values Lead on all operational aspects across the Trust Ensure that the operational systems, processes and functions are compliant, efficient, reliable and quality assured through effective policies and internal controls Manage the Governance Framework of the Trust, working with the Director of People and Culture, CEO and Trust Board to provide professional support and development, promoting high expectations for all involves in business and finance within the Trust Provide the CEO and Trust Board with up-to-date advice on statutory requirements and accountability frameworks, ensuring that these are communicated in a timely manner Produce clear, concise and professionally researched policies, plans and reports Monitor business and financial performance against expectations and external benchmarks through systematic quality assurance, self-evaluation and planning Provide strategic leadership of the Trust’s Growth Strategy Ensure the Trust possesses highly effective systems to manage risk and ensure compliance Above all, we seek an inspirational and ambitious leader who works with pride to achieve excellence and makes those around them want to do the same.
