Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant (term-time only)
Required for immediate start until July 2025 (Fixed-term contract)
Salary: In the region of £20,517 and £21,506 (based on 40 hours term-time only), depending on qualifications.
Longridge Towers School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and well organised individual, with excellent communication skills to join our dedicated team as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a proactive role centred on working in class across the Senior Department, including supporting pupils who have additional learning needs in class, 1:1 or in small groups.
The candidate must have the ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults, be flexible and creative and possess excellent literacy and numeracy skills. They must feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction as well as show initiative.
All candidates must be NVQ Level 2 qualified, as a minimum.
Hours of work will be from 8.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time 40 hours per week position and is a term-time only vacancy. The successful candidate will not be required to work during the school holidays.
Longridge is a small, independent school set in its own beautiful grounds, situated in North Northumberland, three miles from the picturesque town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The School attracts pupils from a wide geographical area on both sides of the Scottish border and has a healthy, growing pupil roll.
