Job Summary Valenti Recruitment are recruiting for a Field Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client.. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, proactive maintenance tasks and also regular inspections/audits across an allocated number of stores within your dedicated region. Your visits will be scheduled on a rotation basis and you will also be required to attend at the stores for emergency reactive visits to meet with client SLA’s. You will be provided with a specifically designed van to hold and manage your maintenance stock and you will be required to provide daily reports into head office via our bespoke reporting tool. You will be allocated a regional group of stores (your dedicated region "The North of the M25". such as Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Hampshire ) in line with your home location however extensive travel will be included and some over night stays away from home. Key Duties Monthly visits to your dedicated stores to proactively repair, maintain and clean equipment and store fabric, ensuring the store meets with H&S requirements. This will cover the shop floor, warehouse and external areas. Requirement to liaise with store managers to ensure that all required works is actioned accordingly and reported via the bespoke reporting tool. Major works that cannot be fixed on the proactive call are to be reported to the Account Delivery Team via the bespoke online reporting tool. There will be requirement to divert to reactive emergency calls from the stores as part of an agreed SLA with the client. Key Responsibilities Visiting retail properties to carryout repairs & maintenance as per the schedule arranged for that day. Carry out basic plumbing (fixing leaks and changing taps/waste). Carry out basic electrics (changing bulbs/fittings, replacing switches or sockets). Carry out basic carpentry (changing locks, handles). Carry out basic painting and decorations. Carry out basic handyman services. Update jobs via portal ensuring audits are thorough and good quality pictures are taken. Where jobs are to be quoted, to provide a report with the materials needed, and time needed to carry out the further repairs along with a description of the issue. Experience Required Electricians 18th Edition accreditation CSCS accredited. Experienced in completing trade specific tasks including Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Minor brick work, Minor internal repairs. Excellent communication skills. An ability to work well under pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills. Relevant technical knowledge. Problem-solving skills. Clean valid UK Driving License.
