Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Worker, your role will be to assist students who face challenges with behavior, supporting them to access their learning and engage positively in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies that help students manage their behavior, improve their social interactions, and feel more confident in their ability to succeed. Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Worker: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioral challenges, ensuring they stay engaged with their learning. Implement tailored strategies to help students manage their emotions and behavior in a constructive manner. Work alongside teachers to promote positive behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Support students in developing social and emotional skills, promoting resilience and self-regulation. Monitor students’ progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to review and adjust support strategies as necessary. Foster a positive and respectful environment that encourages students to build self-esteem and confidence. What We Are Looking for in the Behaviour Support Worker: A strong desire to work with students who need behavioural support and to make a positive impact on their educational journey. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and students. Experience in supporting students with behavior or emotional difficulties is preferred but not essential. A patient, empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviors in a calm and positive way.
