About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE make a difference for every patient Due to the increase of treatments and care we now offer our patients, our small yet busy Radiology Department is in need of an Assistant to fulfil ad-hoc / support cover at our unit based in Portsmouth Hospital. This is a Bank / Ad-hoc position, offering hours pre-arranged by the Superintendent Sonographer. Working hours offered will be from Monday to Saturday from as early as 07:00 to 19:00 What you'll be doing Being the Bank - Radiology Department Assistant you will be play a diverse supportive role. You’ll be managing our patient flow into and out of the department, making sure patients are in place and where they should be at the the right ties. This will sometimes require you to escort some patients from waiting areas to imaging modality rooms and back again. You will be required to remain whilst imaging is taking place, to support the Sonographer with any documentation needed or equipment fetched. As the Bank - Radiology Department Assistant, you will be conscious of health, safety and hygiene aspects in the department. Not only will you look to make sure the department is clean, you will monitor and look for potential hazards, ensuring they are made safe or the issue is quickly bright to the attention or the Superintendent Sonographer. In addition, you’ll assist with the management of stock and equipment, ensuring good levels and ordering when appropriate, pre-empting any shortfalls. What we’ll look for in you The right individual for this Bank - Radiology Department Assistant position, will have a good customers service skills with a friendly supportive nature You will be a true team player and genuinely enjoys playing your part as part of an effective team It would be nice but not essential for you to have a good appreciation of Safeguarding and GDPR You will be a keen multi-tasker able to effectively juggle multiple tasks, to positive results You will be an effective communicator at all levels, you will be welcoming, engaging and calming, to our patients and will be IT literate.
