I have placed many candidates within the trust over the last few months and I can honestly say that you will be well supported by a hard-working, friendly and close-knit team. It is truly a fantastic place to work!
About the role:
This particular role will be an all rounder type of position where you will provide general classroom support across a range of different classes. This ‘floating’ position requires people who have good general SEN experience as well as being positive, adaptable, proactive and an excellent team player.
As a school who focuses on delivering a tailored made learning environment to allow all students to thrive, there will also be plenty of opportunities for learning outside of the classroom, including forest school and outdoor activities. Therefore, you must be willing to get stuck in!
About you:
* Passionate about working with young people, especially those with learning and SEMH difficulties
* Proactive, resilient and eager to contribute to the school community
* Able to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers
* A good sense of humour and a team player
* Experience working with individuals with additional needs is highly desirable
* Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
If you are an experienced learning support assistant/teaching assistant or have a background in supporting individuals with additional needs, this role could be a perfect fit for you! Alternatively, this is a perfect role for individuals from a range of backgrounds such as sports coaches, support workers, youth workers etc.
You will be working Monday - Friday, term time only 08:45 - 15:30. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you will be required to attend meetings and CPD so you will finish slightly later on these days.
