Principal Computational Biologist
Hybrid 1 day a week onsite

This young biotech is going from strength to strength, signing multiple deals and partnerships this year and so is looking to expand their computational team. You'll need to be well versed in statistical modelling, creating narratives from the biological data, and thrive in the ever-changing environment of a startup.
You'll lead projects, work as an individual contributor, working with in-house datasets as well as publicly available. The ideal person for this role will have extensive post-study work experience in statistical modelling and functional genomics analysis.
Your responsibilities may include:
1. Leading projects
2. Working closely with wet lab scientists to drive experimental design
3. Product management responsibilities
4. Data analysis/visualisation/modelling using Python and/or R
5. Leading on omics, big data, and advanced modelling
6. Improving data processing pipelines and workflows
7. Presenting research findings both internally and externally
Experience needed:
1. PhD in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology or other related field
2. Extensive post-study work experience – In Industry
3. Strong background in statistical modelling in a biological setting
4. Background in functional genomics analysis
5. Strong programming skills in Python/R
6. Great communication skills
